Bring your family and furry friends to this beautiful, elevated 2 Bedroom/1 Bathroom home with a secluded hot tub and enjoy the Colorado vacation you will never forget! 

This beautiful mountain house is located just North of Alma - only 20 miles from Breckenridge! Family friendly or ideal for a small group of close friends to share, this cozy 2 bedroom home with an open loft sleeping area and single bathroom, has something to offer everyone in your party. The home is very secluded and on a heavily wooded property that offers beautiful views of the surrounding mountains. Placer Valley is home to a variety of wildlife and this spectacular location affords opportunities to observe Elk, Deer and Foxes (just to name a few!) right on the property. Additionally, the wetland area located less than 2 miles from the home is one of the few areas where you may be able to see Moose in their natural habitat.

The unique architecture of this home offers a wonderful high alpine experience, with a wood burning stove on a large stone hearth, open concept living room with comfortable seating and dining space, all accented with a tasteful retro chic decor. Step into the well appointed Kitchen with its stainless steel appliances, plentiful counter space and all the cooking gadgets and accouterments you will need to whip up your favorite meal. The Bathroom features a standard vanity, toilet and a bathtub/shower combo, where you can choose to start your day with a quick refreshing rinse or sink in for a long soak after a full day on the slopes. The first floor Bedroom has a Full size bed and the second floor Bedroom has a Queen size bed, both fitted with cozy comforters and comfy cotton linens - ensuring that you wake well rested, refreshed and ready for any adventure that a day in the Rocky Mountains may afford. The open Loft offers two comfortable twin beds, perfect for the kids, the young at heart, or just an afternoon lounging with a bowl of popcorn and your favorite movie on the television -there is even enough floor space to play one of the many games available or build a blanket fort!  The washer and dryer is available for guest use and is easily accessible in a laundry closet off of the first floor bedroom - so no need to waste precious vacation time at the laundromat in town.

The large elevated deck is a gorgeous relaxation space.There is a large outdoor dining table and chairs with a propane grill for the full outdoor dining experience, comfortable patio furniture where you can drink in the mountain views along with your tasty morning brews, and a gas fire pit around which you may enjoy an evening drink under the pines in the company of a thousand stars.

Fairplay and Alma are the activity center of the Colorado Rocky Mountains, it's a great "Base Camp!" If you can think of an outdoor activity, you will likely find it within 10-20 minutes of the cabin. Activities include skiing, snowboarding, hiking, mountain climbing, snow-shoeing, horseback riding (winter too), ice climbing, fishing, hunting, rafting, snowmobiling, 4-wheeling, mine exploration, canoeing, kayaking, and much much more.

* This home is located in the Central Rockies at approx. 11,076 ft. Please be advised that elevation and weather should be considered when deciding if this location is appropriate.
* Guests are required to have a four-wheel drive vehicle with adequate snow tires or chains during the winter months from November through May. The area is subject to frequent unpredictable and adverse weather conditions which can make travel difficult.
* This home is located in a rural high alpine mountain environment where wildlife, insects and
rodents may be encountered. The home is also equipped with a well water system and may
have variability in taste, smell or mineral content based on time of year and usage.
* Guests will be required to sign a vacation rental agreement after booking.
* Outdoor security cameras are in use at this property, and may be used to verify guest occupancy. Security cameras are solely for visual (no audio) monitoring outside the property and are not present inside the property.
* This home is pet friendly. We charge a $50 fee for each pet, and all pets must be approved. This fee is not included in the quoted rate, and will be charged after the booking is confirmed or the day of arrival on the reservation.
